About N6IE

Ron, N6IE

My interest in ham radio began when I was eight years old.  By age 13, I had passed the FCC Novice license test, followed by the General license a few months later.  Fascination with radio led me to a life-long career in commercial broadcasting that I am still engaged in more than half a century later.

In the late 1960's, I served in the US Navy as part of the Naval Security Group, training at Corry Field in Pensacola (WA4ECY) and was deployed in the field of communications intellegence at the Naval Communications Center in Kamiseya, Japan (KA2KS).

After my time in the Navy, my broadcast radio career took me to Honolulu for eight years, then to San Francisco and eventually to my current home in Sonoma County, California.

I am currently Chief Technical Officer and part owner of Results Radio, LLC, a commercial broadcast company with 12 radio stations located in Yuba City, Chico and Redding, California.
